Introduction

In the previous study session you have learned about planning process and the different steps of planning process. In this study session you will learn about health care system management. Being an anesthetist, like any other health professional, you need to have health care management skills because you are working in the health care system. You may also find yourself in a managerial position your health care facility where you may expected to play a managerial role in as the leader of the anesthesia department. Therefore, in this study session you will learn about managerial functions and mechanism of effective utilization of resources in the context of health care system.
