Enuresis is a term that refers to involuntary urination, either during the daytime or at night, and occurring at an age when complete bladder control is expected. Such control normally occurs around the age of 5 years. If the child had never managed to attain control, this type of enuresis is primary enuresis. If enuresis occurs after a period of complete control lasting 6 months, it is called secondary enuresis.
