- Identify the common causative agents, occurrence and modes of transmission of the common faeco-oral diseases caused by intestinal protozoa and roundworms.)
- Explain how you would diagnose and treat cases of amoebiasis, giardiasis, ascariasis and hookworm infection, based on their symptoms and signs, and when and why you would refer them to a higher-level health facility.
- Describe how you would apply prevention and control measures against these common intestinal parasitoses.
