Diabetes mellitus is the most commonly occurring endocrine multi system disease found in surgical patients. The prevalence of diabetes is increasing in the general population as well as the surgical patients. Surgical procedure under anesthesia may be required either for surgical correction of complication from diabetes mellitus such as amputation for gangrenous foot or other surgical therapeutic procedure such as cholecystectomy (surgical removal of gall bladder). In this session you will learn to adopt knowledge, skill and the right attitude to mange anesthesia safely for surgical patient with coexisting diabetes mellitus.
