Introduction

In study session IV, you have learned about the anaesthetic management of clients with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy or pre-eclampsia and eclampsia. In the study session have addressed basic maternal changes during eclampsia and the treatment for pre- eclampsia and management of common complications that could occur in patients with pre-eclampsia and different anesthesia techniques that are used for clients with pre-eclampsia . In this study session you will learn about the anesthetic management of obstetric haemorrhage. In the study session organizational aspects of managing major obstetric haemorrhage; including prevention and preparation, clinical management, blood transfusion and clotting factors and anesthesia techniques will be discussed. Over all, At the end of the lesson students are will be able to describe, cooperate and manage obstetric hemorrhage accordingly.
