At the end of this session, the students will able to:

  • Explain the standards of basic anesthetic monitoring
  • Describe the role of anesthetist in monitoring anesthetized patient
  • Monitor oxygenation, ventilation, circulation and temperature by observation and devices
  • Describe the capinography reading
  • Monitor urine output, depth of anesthesia, neuromuscular blockade, anesthesia equipment
  • Initiate plan to prepare appropriate monitoring equipment
