Introduction

In session one you have learnt the over view of pre anesthetic assessment, documentation, reporting and consultation or referral and session two focused assessment of respiratory system with relevant physiology which are very important input to assess the cardiovascular system. The cardio vascular or circulatory system consists of the heart, the blood vessels, and the blood. Its function is to provide oxygen and nutrients to the tissues and to carry away the by-products of metabolism. In this session you will learn to adopt knowledge, skill and the right attitude on the anesthetic relevant cardiovascular physiology, the effects of anesthesia and methods of assessment on the cardiovascular system.
