Introduction
Anesthesia providers develop a comfort with their craft, despite the inherent dangers of anesthesia. As experience grows, the anesthesia provider considers it simple and routine the inherently hazardous art and science of rendering patients insensible to pain, unconscious, and paralyzed. Hazards may occur from different causes such as malfunctioned equipment, fire and explosion in operating room, unanticipated patient problem and human errors. We have to prevent hazards and risk factors by adhering to standard of procedures and manage risks accordingly. In this session you will learn to develop knowledge, skill and attitude to prevent and manage the common operating room hazards and maintain patient's safety to assure that no patient shall be harmed by preventable hazards.
