- Advise community members on effective ways to reduce their risk of developing mental illness.
- Screen for mental illness in your community.
- Describe ways that you can help to reduce the risk of suicide.
- Draw on community support to challenge stigmatising attitudes, discrimination and abuse.
- Apply preventative strategies to decrease some of the negative consequences of mental illness.
