Decreased urine output

Urine production decreases very significantly in severe types of pregnancy-related hypertension. The reduction in maternal blood volume results in markedly reduced blood flow to the kidneys, and as a result, there will be a significant decrease in urine output. The woman may stop producing urine altogether.
