Introduction

The aim of preventing childhood illness is to reduce the morbidity and mortality rate of under-five children's.The health extension worker should reduce the childhood problems in the community by educating the community and counselling caregivers about the mode of transmission, cause and prevention mechanisms.

Child abuse and neglect have can have an important impact on the child's health and behaviour and you should educate the community about it. So in this study session, you will learn about the cause, symptoms and way of prevention mechanisms of childhood illness, abuse, and neglect.
