In this Study Session, you have learned that:
  • Monitoring is a process that systematically and regularly checks if your program activities (nutritional information and education and other extension package programs) are being carried out as planned.
  • Evaluation is the process that helps to determine the effectiveness, relevance, and impact of the nutritional education activities.
  • Monitoring systems should be planned in conjunction with overall program design & instituted at the beginning of the programs life.
  • Both monitoring and evaluation involve the analysis and documentation of information and data concerning the response of clients to the nutrition information and education.
