Introduction

Planning, implementing and monitoring immunisation program is one of the primary and key tasks in the implementation of health extension program in Ethiopia. In this study session, you are going to learn how to plan and monitor the immunisation program to increase the immunisation coverage rate in your community and maintain its sustainability.

The session will also explain the proper use of EPI recording tools, how to calculate the immunisation coverage rates, dropout rates and your roles in promoting and providing immunisation service that every eligible child will benefit from the EPI program. You will find additional concepts and principles of planning and monitoring in the community health service management module.
