Maintaining a high level of immunisation in the whole population, by using the routine Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) program, is the most effective way of reducing the major vaccine-preventable diseases as you discussed in study session one.

In this study session, you will learn about antibacterial vaccines that are used for preventing some common bacterial diseases in Ethiopia, and their route of administration, site of injection, storage, dosages, contraindications and schedules.

This study session will also help you to give precise information about how to manage mild and severe adverse events following immunisation (AEFIs) reactions if they occur.
