Resource mapping is a method of showing information regarding the occurrence, distribution, access to and use of resources. Resources play a vital role in the provision of different adolescent and youth friendly RH services in the health post and the community. Resources include human resource, material resource, financial resource, time, etc. Effective and practical use of the available resources in an economical way is an essential practice in the achievement of the given objectives. Resources are always scarce and need to be utilised wisely.

There are some resources available in your kebele which needs to be identified and used during the implementation of your planed activities. Proper and careful identification through careful discussion with community members and indicating their exact location and extent of access is helpful in guiding you what resources to use where, when and how. For example, different community-based organisations are the asset for you while implementing your action plan in the community. Mapping these organisations will help you mobilise them to accomplish a particular health intervention in your kebele. It is, therefore, important to map the available resources in your catchment.
