One of the components of ANC service is to estimate the gestational age of the pregnancy. This is helpful to estimate the progress of the pregnancy and how the foetus is growing in order to make the right decision.

In this study session, you will learn how to measure fundal height at the ANC visit. It will enable you to estimate the status and stage of pregnancy and also understand the accurate date calculated from the woman's last normal menstrual period (LMNP). Also, you will learn whether or not the uterus is growing at the normal rate (too quickly or too slowly) based on which you will detect the reasons and act.
