  • Nausea and vomiting (morning sickness).
  • Heart burn.
  • Pica (abnormal craving).
  • Ptyalism.
  • Constipation.
  • Urinary frequency.
  • Hemorrhoids.
  • Vaginal discharge without colour change and abnormal odour.
  • Lower back pain.
  • Dependent oedema.
  • Others, such as fatigue.
  • Hyperemesis gravidarum is excessive severe nausea and vomiting that leads the mother to become dehydrated and to develop ketoacidosis.
  • Other common medical disorders of the pregnant mother are the following:
  • Malaria.
  • Anemia.
  • Pregnancy induced hypertension.
  • UTI.
  • Diabetes mellitus.
