The physiologic and anatomic changes of pregnancy may result in the development of signs and symptoms that could be managed by educating the woman to take precautions, may need a referral if severe and/or may need other managements. While most pregnancy and birth are risk-free, around 15% of all pregnant women may develop life-threatening complications that call for skilled obstetrical interventions to survive. In this session, you will learn major medical disorders during pregnancy with their basic descriptions and warning signs that indicate problems that will warn you to refe mothers early.
