Introduction

As a health extension worker, a large part of your work will involve training of people in your local community about health matters. In your health education program planning and implementation process, training might be considered as one of the implementation tools. That is why you need to be able to understand the key concepts of the training in this session.

Therefore, we will see the relationships among learning, educating and training, types of training and how to arrange and evaluate training sessions for a model family, that are relevant to a health extension worker's roles and activities. You have to play the role of trainer for training various categories of the community members and other development workers in your future career.
