Health and behaviors are related, and every community has its own ways of life, traditions, customs, habits and values that in one way or another way are related with their health practices. As a result of this some individuals or community accepts and perform a certain behavior, while others will not. This is because what seems important or normal for one individual or community might not seems normal or important for another and vice-versa.

In the previous session, you were introduced about behavior, determinants of health and about some disease causal models. In this session, you will learn about some of the factors affecting the behavior of the community. This will help assess, analyse and decide on type of behavior to design and deliver your health education activity
