Family planning service
Family planning services are educational and comprehensive medical or social activities which enable individuals and couples to determine the number and spacing of their children freely, and to select the means by which this may be achieved. The service includes education, information, Counseling, provision of contraceptive methods and referrals.
The objective of family planning service is to reduce morbidity and mortality of mothers and children by spacing child-bearing; preventing unplanned and unwanted pregnancy. Increase the awareness, knowledge and skills of communities to utilise family planning service.
