The infant benefits from colostrum

Colostrum is the first breastmilk that is produced after delivery and protects the baby from diseases.

The colostrum acts as a laxative cleaning the infant's stomach. It is also the equivalent of the first immunisation for the baby as it has many immunologic factors and a high concentration of vitamin A.
