You may be approached by many people from your local community, because most people feel comfortable with health professionals. In your role it is important to avoid quick judgements and telling people that they are right or wrong. At no point should you refer to the public as unintelligent, illiterate, dumb, or useless. Instead, your efforts as a health professional are essential in bringing about changes in people's attitudes and knowledge about mental health. You are there to assist everyone to achieve a higher level of health by providing care and health education.
