• Discuss the possible reasons why a young person might have an unsafe abortion and explain some of the consequences of unsafe abortion.
• Describe your role as a health professional in the support of young people who find they have an unwanted pregnancy or who have had an abortion following an unwanted pregnancy.
• Describe your role as a health professional in the prevention of unsafe abortion.
