Jadelle

Jadelle is a progesterone-only contraceptive implant consisting of two rods implanted (instead of 6 rods in Norplant) to give effective protection for five years. Each rod contains 75 mg Levonorgestrel (150 mg in total). It is a new product, manufactured to replace the Norplant implant. By reducing the number of rods from six to two (figure above), it has made it easier to insert and remove. After appropriate training, you may be able to insert Jadelle.
