National Priorities
Implement an elimination intervention package to progressively reduce infections and transmission:
- Ensure highest levels of coverage of basic control and transmission prevention measures;
- Build information systems that are quality assured and progressively more timely and granular;
- Clear infections proactively in communities to reduce transmission potential and illness burden;
- Address specific mobile populations that may move infection from place to place;
- Detect and clear infections in individuals in low transmission settings using case investigations;
- Document and maintain malaria-free areas
- Address prevention, care, treatment and containment of imported malaria.
